Yeah, I backed out the manually entered uppercase stuff in the script
(because it's hard to maintain and track down) -- it should
automatically convert stuff on the fly as it transfers.  Are you using
the "apple2" target or the "apple2e" target?  You should see this at
line 12 of init.txt now:

jump apple2e

The "slot" variable is what you will want to modify.  Otherwise, just
start the program with the apple2 target.  I did a visual verification
and didn't see any uppercase characters when I tested it.
