Ummm, have you emulated a 6502 in an FPGA lately?

Because the 6502 takes 787 logic cells, where-as the whole Apple II takes is in the order of 1644 cells. The 6502 is 6.5% of an EP1C12 - which is a relatively small FPGA!

So you won't save much putting that in an ARM!
