The uppermost 2k (original monitor ROM) can be handled just via a
language card.. which has a ROM socket that can be jumpered to EPROM.
I have the binaries to the Integer ROMs, the monitor portion of which I
then burned using an Apple II Eprom burner itself.. into a 2716.. which
then plugged into the language card.   The Eprom on the card replaces
the the uppermost 2k.

The next 2k down, I imagine there must be a way to change a few things
on the motherboard for it to support 2716.. just as the language card
can easily support both.  I've not figured this out yet.
