AOL comes to mind... :)

I use AVG Anti-virus. It's small, free and works fine. I've never had a
virus with it installed.

And for browsers, IE has been fine for my casual browsing. I don't think
i've ever run into a bug in it. But I also have Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox,
Opera, Maxthon, Flock, and Browzar. All display pages a tad differently,
but none, including IE, has ever caused me any problems.

My annoyance is so-called freeware programs that insist on installing
browser toolbars into IE. But that's neither Windows nor IE's fault. But
once I install the said freeware program, I can always go back and uninstall
the toolbar.

On that note, viruses aren't windows's fault either. In the earlier days of
my childhood, my parents never locked the house. We didn't need to. We
didn't lock the cars either (I still don't most of the time). So now that
the crime rate has gone up, the doors need to be locked at home, on the car,
and in windows.
