Re: Marinetti - where to download? Or is it commercial?
Apologies for the confusion that this is obviously causing.
Perhaps I can help with the understanding a little.
The Marinetti official home page
http://www.apple2.org/marinetti/index.html
refers to v2.01 which is the last 'golden master' release.
Development continues as part of the Marinetti Open Source Project and
when a new 'golden master' is created, the Marinetti official home page
will be updated to refer to it.
In the meantime, there are later beta versions of Marinetti available
for download from the Marinetti Open Source Project site.
The latest version is 3.0b3, but this is just a patched Init and it
must be manually installed on top of a previous 3.0b1 installation.
You can get 3.0b1 here
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/marinetti/Marinetti3.0b1.SHK?download
3.0b1 is a full installation and you do not need to install 2.01 first.
You can get 3.0b3 here:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/marinetti/TCPIP30b3.SHK?download
At Kfest I said that I aim to have a 3.0 (ie. 'golden master') released
before the end of the year.
I hope that clears up any confusion.
Regards,
Andrew
