Looking at the front of the board, switches to the left,
card edge down, the pins are as follows:

    1 o  o 2
    3 o  o 4
    5 o  o 6
    7 o  o 8
    9 o  o 10

This creates the same effect as looking into the connector
from the end of the board that points to the back of the
machine when installed into the slot.

Similarly on the 9-pin port you would have this:


            1  2  3  4  5
          _________________
          \ o  o  o  o  o /
           \  o  o  o  o /
            -------------
              6  7  8  9
