I have every intention of taking PZ's suggestions into consideration, but, I
have
been thoroughly informed that those card edge fingers are every bit as good
and
as strong as the gold. I have a prototype that I've pulled and inserted
hundred's
of times and are still good as "Gold". A little pencil eraser over them
every couple
months, which you should do anyway, and they're fine. As I said, I will do
some
testing of my own, to attempt to repeat PZ's findings with overclocked
accelerator
cards, and if I see the same results, then I may revamp the card. Of course,
future
projects will include these updates, but for now, I'll make sure this card
does work,
or doesn't, before doing anything to it.

Also, the addition of a ROMdisk to the ram cards is being looked into, but I
have
to say, it's not an easy task. The ROM area is in the upper part of the 16
MB of the
possible, not probable expansion ram. There is logic incorporated into the
IIgs for
4 MB ram expansion, but 8 MB and up logic needs to be built from letting the
card
know that it is, in fact, asking for addresses above 4 MB. Not an easy task
as is seen
by the other 8 MB cards that have been made in the past, Sirius, OctoRam, to
name
just a couple, which are basically the same card, heck, they are the same
card.

So, you see, I'm not insensitive to people's suggestions, just how they're
delivered.
