stopped.

No, they were sold simultaneously.

When I bought my ][+ in December, 1980, I had a choice of machines, and
the *only* difference was the nameplate and the ROMs.

Yes, and yes.

- When did II production stop?  And II+ start?
- How many total II's were sold, and how many total II+'s?
