Starting with "0001" is the sign of an unsophisticated company--as Apple was then. Still, consider the gaps issue.
When I bought my ][+ in December, 1980, I had a choice of machines, and the *only* difference was the nameplate and the ROMs.Could you let me know the Sn. of the Computer, the part no. of the motherboard and the date of production of the board?
My original ][+ is in storage right now, but it was recent Computerland stock, so I'd guess it was made within the previous 6 months--around mid-80.
