Presumably a non-apple2 browser would just ignore the tag? I imagine you
could also do likewise with shape tables or HPLOT... I wonder if it's
possible to shoe-horn extensions into Contiki... (comments, please)

All the pieces are available... my Chebucto Community Net shell account
has a feature that converts jpegs to giffs which can then be downloaded
and converted to HGR by ][ GIF on the Apple II. I'm sure it would be
possible to roll the ][ GIF converter into ProTerm and save a step or two
(though I doubt if Intrec would be inclined to pursue any further
development of ProTerm...)
