Thanks for the info on Stuffit for the Mac - I'll give that a shot

This is where I got the file in question.  There's also a small txt
file next to it in the archive which explains a bit more about it.

It's funny.  now that i've "beaten" the challenge of getting files to
and from the IIGS I'm at a loss to know what i actually want <sigh>.  I
guess there's simply too much choice.  no doubt I'll find some things
soon enough ... :)

Roger - thanks for the info on the bin file extension.  Seems like
you're right with the explanation of how it worked.
