You could easily write software to add an OPENAPPLE-P command to Prodos or Dos3.3. Any time you are at the ] prompt you could press openapple-P to switch the active card. You could have any key combination that you can catch with software (and that doesn't interfere with Prodos commands) activate the switch.
Now that is intriguing. I wonder if there are two versions of the card, or if I've mixed the ProSlot with another product. I distinctly remember reading the review for a card that was manually switched while the machine was powered off. The same company offered a product that had dual sockets for enhanced/original //e ROMs - also switchable.
