That is a mighty cheap handful. Why not replace them all at once? They are in
sockets I assume? If so, have you tried reseating all the chips? Less
handling and trial and error and about 5 bucks of parts. LS is still
available widely IIRC. I need a new Digikey catalog. Their website sucks.
Yes, I just checked the LS244. DIP from Fairchild and TI for about 80 cents.
The close to obsolete LS20 is about 40 cents.
