Color LCD is available now - just pop down to your local car customization
shop and check out their color composite LCD screens - usually 7" - 9"...

As to a battery pack - making one is pretty easy and you probably don't even
need to solder anything, just crimp and go - the hard part is wiring the
plug to your //c correctly. If you provide the bag, batteries and required
parts should only cost $30-40 bucks.
