eventually i'll try to do this bug me in a month if i don't get to it....i
need a system to archive  my large collection mess here....but i'll try to

wierd apple //e that is for sure...if you can point me to a link for a pdf

" apple //e accelerator" brand card ..a big label on it says that..there is
prob more info on the card..or maybe it was called "accelerator //e card"
something like that..maybe i can see if that was tweaked by drapple as
well..it has a drapple label on it along with the 2 red shift imageworks
also i think were mod'd by dreapple too...these were the apple // type cards
in slot 3 and 7


last point...does anyone have any idea how to get a 'digicard network' up ?
i contacted a guy once who told me that if you get a unit and the nice
little lights in the front (like 8 of them) light up ina xmas tree type
sequential (left to right or whatever ) order.on power applied .....then
that means the digicard o/s is on hard drive and ready to go..there is a
work around to get it too fly and get to the o/s etc from that point..but i
lost track of the guy who told me this....that method or the famed
"mandrake" floppy 5.25 o/s disk (pre linux by prob 4 years no relation to
mandrake linux) ...that also can get the beast up..these systems were used
almost exclusively in schools and i think the hardware went to the school
auctions and the floppy software installs etc went with the apple //e's and
the teachers elsewhere...thus the problem..so anyone with a large school
based purchase of apple //e software disks might have it buried there
someplace between some odd mecc disks ....but that is why you see the equip
a lot on ebay but the rest (software)  is a wispy ghost....(also true of
mastery development setups ...school based as well stuff..also legendary
never seen install disks)

i'm .rebuilding all my systems hardware and windows o/s bloat finally did me
in... (i hate windows) and i need to put the apple adt xfer setup back into
play...etc etc
then shk it etc....trying


i'm rebuilding my windows (yech) setups..and thus have to get the adt xfer
and other stuff backup..i swear i should get a mac and have it run all the
inet hub stuff and www page stuff..and ftp xfer etc under some mac bbs
pkg...that way if the windows junk o/s based bbs/apple//bbs linkups /sycnbbs
setup/worldgroup majormud/etc etc i used to run..say major mud or something
else blows up..it is isolated on that windows setup machine...and the whole
works does not go down off the web/inet...but just the side setup windows
based bbs stuff...besides i hear macs are click and paste for web and other
stuff......that i never seem to get too (at least in the past of having web
based front ends for the bbs)..into that stuff....i need to make some stuff
around here idiot proof...

hmmm.....maybe i can sucker....er i mean thru the logic of mutual computer
hobby stuff.....scam..er i mean convince some mac guru to get into this with
a mac based mac bbs frontend setup and rogin/telnet etc ip network to the
other stuff....of course that would assume someone running a mac wants to
even run a bbs (mac or otherwise).


.where are those bored/beer drinking/sysop types from those bygone bbs days
of lore (ie like 5yrs ago..compressed computer time...goes guick)....oh yeah
i forgot...downloading porn/drinking beer/playing everguest....dang ..i'm
doomed ...i can't compete with live cam porn.....rats.....foiled...

i prob need to take some pics of the pro-slot sideways card (one reg ap2slot
makes 2 slots for cards and cards go in sideways..really only can work in
slot 7 due to room for cards sideways w/o blocking other apple // slots)

it looks pretty simple to make bill g. might want a crack at this
beast....to copy for another hardware project ....


as far as networks go i also (again i keep forgetting the name of this
network hardware based setup apple // wise i have packed away)

i also have an apple //  network setup that you can run 16 ..it think it was
16? apple //s as a network using NO disk based software it was all hardware
(eprom) driven using little 2 box bubble memory (i assume) setups (black
blocks...shades of 2002 movie) to replace the // disk drives at each
station...that is complete with manual ...i forget the name...i think 800k
for each box was the max....replaced the floppy drives.....anyway..i should
dig this stuff up and archive and post it..i keep  getting closer to getting
things done..but still have not solved the problem of


a) no help i need other sysops to get the huge gonzo back up in this
area....no fun with no help and such...i keep stalling

b) stable ip inet connection..if i did put it back up ..the old crowd would
come out and majormud etc and viola...my charter cable would get
steamed.swamped bigtime at a dyn ip solution and charter would get
peeved....but stable ip is 125 a month..so i am in a bind ( i need to start
a retro computer club just to lever the beast back up...stalled) sucks

any extremely wealthy apple // gurus (beagle bro guys?) (woz???) who want to
move to mankato and play retro apple // and retro bbs setup?..

.but then again i suppose if you are extremely wealthy and even a former
apple // nerd.....you have moved on to better things
(girls/booze/travel/etc) ...the key word here is wealth...i have an idea it
cancels out the nerd side of the equation quite harshly....

anyway i'm getting the internal network back up...next goal is to at least
archive all my ap2 disks and utils back into the bbs (ms dos win bbs setup )
and thus at least be able to sort and burn to a pc cd and find stuff...then
at that point...lever up worldgroup setup at least internally on my home
network and again and perhaps get brave and pay $39 a month for a dyn.ip
setup via cablemodem and play with it privately till i get some
help....frigging college town...meet 10 people here and wait 5 yrs and 9
move away....as long as i'm hitting up rich guys..we need like some major
industry to move into mankato to bolster up the economy...so people stick
around this town...and thus i'm able to do all the above bbs and apple //
wise i want with other sysops on a more/less perm basis...if you could take
care of that for me forthwith....(come on woz...your rich and eccetric?
(sorry rumored eccetnric) go for it :)
