I'm also thinking of getting some screen captures of every "step" you
take (scene), so I can give them to an artist to redraw. I think I should
be able to do it in Virtual II (emulator) or at least in MacOS X, if
nothing else.
These new enhanced versions of The Quest/Ring Quest are not going to be
for the Apple II, except *maybe* the IIGS, if anyone wants to code that
version. Anyone seen just how horrible the graphics are? The games
look better in green monochrome! At least then you don't see all the
graphical flaws the Apple II had doing color.
I think MacOS X (hence requiring a Power Mac capable of running it) is
the natural evolutionary upgrade path for these two Apple II games...
I remember playing The Quest/Ring Quest on my Apple //c using my 9"
green monochrome monitor (that was SUCH a neat little thing!). Fun games,
but color just doesn't do 'em any real justice, I think.
