Please try this before you give up.

OK This weekend.

I doubt you'll get 8 volumes in a II, the II+ can only give 4 in slot 5.

AFAICT the number of volumes is defendant on the ProDOS version, nothing else.

Well, I won't have one either now, don't feel badly.
You can set your ZIP Chip to slots 5&6 slow.

I tried that and it didn't make any difference. At this point I would prefer to put the ZipChip in my Laser and try to find a SpeedDemon or a TransWarp.

: all 8 partitions.

Well, hell. Run the Laser then. :)

I do but I also have a 2 //c's one of which has a ZipChip (different than the one I mentioned earlier). I am hoping someone will come up with a networking/mass storage solutions for both of them. I direct your attention to the SanDisk 128MB + Wi-Fi CompactFlash card.

If I had a II, it would be wrapped air-tight and
locked in a safe somewhere. :)

What's the fun in that? It's like locking up vintage a airplane and not letting it fly. Many P-51s were modified for air races and generally won them all. In fact IIRC Burt Rutan designed a "relatively" low cost high speed aircraft in a attempt to save the vintage machines.

I wasn't for sale. One of those spur of the moment deals.
He had stuff for me, so I made him a part cash/part stuff
deal. Sorry 'bout that.

Oh Well /

I have a IIgs upgrade machine you can buy.

Not really interested /

I'm only interested in My Apple][ because it was the first computer I ever bought and I would like to take it as far as It can go.

Got $350.00 ?

Yes I do. I have offered more than $200.00 for a TransWarp on eBay more than once. I have never had the opportunity to make an offer for a SpeeDemon.
