Excellent advice! You are correct, the best way to modify the stats is to do
something like the new character program. Unfortunately, as I have little
expertise with either BASIC or Applesoft, I could not write a new program, so I
modified the old one. Currently, I can modify stats, H.P., GOLD, and probably
EXP. and FOOD. I may also be able to modify weapons and armor soon. Gems,
spells, and enemy vessels are MIA for the moment. But my main question is: how
can I easily edit the lines of INIT DISPLAY? I don't particularly appreciate
having to type out every damn line in Applesoft every time I want to make a
minute change. How do I do with with a disk image?
