Yes, the disk has specific programs on it
for testing the Sirius cards. I think the
reason I have it is because it came with a
lot that I bought last year. I figure I can
SHK it and someone else can use it, and keep
it too. ;-)
I had a Sirius Ram card that refused to run as an 8 MB
card, so after a month or so of digging at it to make
it work. I decided to use my RAM-GS and sell it as a
4 MB card, with the knowledge that it wouldn't work
with 8 MB on-board. I don't know if because of it's
size it flexes from the heat or what, but I suspect
that there was one or more microscopic cracks in traces
and that unless you feel like really checking each and
every line it isn't worth messing with it. Now I have
a TWGS with problems that are preventing it from booting
up at all, and am just about ready to trash it and sell
the cache board, or sell it as is to someone who thinks
they can fix it. I'm just not in the mood nor do I have
the patience to troubleshoot such a thing.
