The drive is terminated with a DIP-switch bank on the back of the
housing. I opened the unit, but could find nothing that might have
been trying to provide additional termination. I don't have a
separate "plug-in" terminator for this drive.

I meant, but forgot, to mention in my previous posts that this is a
stock, "new" out-of-the box card, so it's unlikely that the mod has
been made. I will check, though, when I get home tonight. If the
diode-mod hasn't been done, wouldn't that affect the Zip drive
functionality as well?
In reply to a few other things mentioned in the other thread (in an
effort to get this to a single thread)...
re: "Also, you were asked about the Tulin drivers..." I apparently
don't have the Tulin drivers - as I stated before, the only ones I
have installed are the "NEC" ones that I found in the Sirius utilities
folder. I also installed the ones from the System disks, as you
suggested. I'll stop by Syndicomm's site after I post this.
re: "I have the Sirius Diag disk..." I'll send you an email
shortly...
re: "Mike, I will try to impress this once more..." See above.

There's a local custom-cable house near here, but they're not cheap
(they wanted $40+ to do a null-modem cable). I have a few other local
resources I can check out - I'll let you know.
