Bill, although this may be the case with some brands of component video
cables, I can assure you that I have high quality Red/Green/Blue component
video cables (looking at 'em right now). No pink on them. As a matter of
fact, it's a dark Red color for the red one (that I have in my possesion).

But ultimately, the signals are Red, Green, and Blue, no matter what shade
of color is being used on the connectors themselves.
