Not according to Apple http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=7260 Anyways the results you get from a test after pulling a chip can be erroneous. In this case you're severing 40 connections. If the test then fails on an earlier test because of this then it may never get far enough to fail the sound test. Wayne
