I don't believe it can be done. As I recall when Apple decided to produce A IIc with a 3.5" drive they first had to add some hardware to let the IIc work with a regular 3.5" drive because the 1mhz processor couldn't keep up. I believe the engineers spent a fair bit of time developing that and right after solving it somebody decided to up the speed. At 4 mhz there wouldn't have been any trouble getting a IIc to use a regular 3.5" drive. I also recall that rather than scrap it and start over they were supposed to have left the modifications they made to let a 1mhz IIc+ use regular 3.5" drives in the production boards. You could likely test that by changing the oscillator so the IIc+ can't run any faster than 1mhz. Wayne
