Okay, I am little confused here...
The //c+ can be set to run at 1mhz so can the //gs so I don't
understand how the speed of the CPU has to do with it (I know, I am
dumb! LOL).
But you are right, there was a firmware update to the orginal //c
when the UniDisk 3.5 was put out.

Just a side note, the //c+ is able to boot from Slot 5, Drive 2.
Mine just scans every drive it's connected to see what is bootable,
where the //gs doesn't even look at Drive two...
