I have used COMM.SYSTEM for nearly a year and quite
successfully. It's xmodem-1k is great and even though it
can only send one file at a time, I believe it is good enough
for the amount of files you'd send to the Apple anyway.
I also use a dos term program on the PC called TELIX,
which has a very good setup program and I haven't had any
trouble with it in, as I said, nearly a year. You can ASCII
send DUMP files with TELIX very well also, and it's best to
do those at 300 baud. Anything higher and it goes into cardiac
arrest. Of course once you have the term program running,
and by the way, DSK2FILE is great for converting DSK files
to real disks, you can transfer and convert the images much
faster. I plan to make up a complete system soon and put it
up on the web site, then people can simply download all the
needed files/programs and have at it.
