Well, I've been experimenting and I just found a bug.  I get the black
rectangle problem if I set my number of screen colors to 256 instead of 32, 24
or 16 bit color.
Do you have the screen colors set this low?  In any case this is definitely a
bug in FishWings.  I will try to fix it for the next version release.
