ok, so am I to assume that he swapped out the standard serial card with 
this special printer card? or did the IIe not come with a serial card by 
default?

(the reason I ask is that his family may have collected any extra parts 
he left around)

do I need to figure out how to install any software on the IIe, or will 
the card handle all that? (I'm assuming I need to type _something_ into 
the IIe to get it to send... how much is the question)
