I think Imation made a USB "superdrive" that handles 1.44, 800K and also
those super high density disks... I've seen them on eBay now and then.
Don't know if it'll do ProDOS though...


They do 1.44 and the superdisks but unfortunately not the 800k ones.
With Mac OS 9 it'll read ProDOS disks. I only tried writing them once
though, my system crashed real hard. Under OSX anything except ProDOS.
HFS is fine though. A IIgs has no trouble with HFS. Problem is the
average IIgs can't R/W 1.44mb floppies and New Macs can't do 800k
floppies.
I guess a USB -> 800k drive isn't likely. They'd probably need an
IWM, SWIM, or equivalent chip.
