Re: How to tell a SuperDrive???
the clue to look for is that just inside the disk insertion slot on the
right hand side, underneath the metal diskette guide you will see either two
vertical pins (typically one green and one white) or a single chrome plated
lever of a microswitch. you may need a torch to see inside, and it is only
about 10mm inside and just below the level of the slot. if you see two pins
it is a 1.44 drive, and if only a single lever it is a 800K drive (or 400K).
you can do this without power to the drive and with the disk removed.
