How to configure serial port on //c+?

I've been learning the ins-and-outs of configuring the SSC on my ][e
for use with ADT - and got it all workingl.  I followed the
instructions in the "A Complete Guide to Using ADT for Apple <- -> PC
file Transfers" from the Call-A.P.P.L.E. docs.  To prepare the SSC in
the ][e for serial communications, I follow this procedure:
- boot DOS
- IN#2
- <ctrl-a>
- 15B
- PR#2

When I try this on my //c+, I do not get the same results.

Does anybody know if the procedure is _supposed_ to be different, or
is my //c+ screwed up?  Are there jumper settings I must set similar
to the settings on the SSC?
