Almost certainly, the problem with your monitor is an intermittent open
in the PC board, triggered by temperature rise. This is easily fixed, once
found, by resoldering the connection or bridging the break. Finding it can
be tricky if the crack or bad connection is not readily visible.
This is most likely fixable in about an hour's work.
If you don't have experience working on TVs or monitors, don't start with
this repair--but perhaps you have a friend who has such experience.
There are high voltages involved, and the monitor must be operated
without its case.
(I won't describe finding the intermittency here, but it involves gentle
probing with a non-conductive probe, and possibly refrigerant spray
after the monitor has warmed up and the problem has manifested\
itself.)
