Aha! So, you're actually dealing with a real 5.25" disk.

So, are you getting the error $27 when you try to use the 'Copy DOS 3.3
Disk(s)...' option? This option would create a disk image and store it
on your IIGS's SCSI HD. You can then set launch options for a whole
disk image, but I've had limited success with it running from DOS 3.3
Launcher this way, but I think it largely depends on the program you're
trying to run.

If Magic Window is a single DOS 3.3 executable file, then you simply
need to copy that file using the IIGS Finder, from its original disk
onto your SCSI hard drive. Then using DOS 3.3 Copier to set launch
options for that specifc file. Returning to the IIGS Finder, double
click on it and hopefilly DOS 3.3 Launcher will run Magic Window.

Yes your assumption to that error $27 is correct. I fiddled around with
this D3L a bit last night, and set the launcher to the created disk image
(Magic Window //e) and my only conclusion is that the the Magic Windows //e
i have on the physical 5.25 floppy is copy protected, or D3L cannot do
entire disk programs and can only do single file BRUN programs as you have
noted (kind of sucks). Anyways thanks for all the help everyone!

It could be your Magic Window disk is copy protected, or has become corrupted.

DOS 3.3 Launcher does support entire disk programs, but a lot of them don’t work, because they don’t resemble DOS 3.3 close enough. In my experience, the ones that haven’t worked never showed the $27 error, they imaged as normal and then when you went to run them with DOS 3.3. Launcher, they’d just hang. I’ve tried games like Captain Goodnight, Airheart, Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom, etc and none of them worked. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by games like Elite, Starglider and the Atarisoft games that have worked as launchable disk images.

I’d recommend finding a disk image of Magic Window on Asimov (ftp.apple.asimov.net) and using ADTPro which you’re already familiar with, copying that disk image to a real 5.25” floppy and trying again. What does Magic Window do anyway? :-)
