Really? wow, did you put it in a VGA/SVGA mode? I've got some weird resoultions going on my 1084's & 1200 back in the day, but I don't think I've ever gone over 400 vertical scan lines with that monitor.
Yup. I selected a VGA resolution and pushed "Apply". There was a moment of scrambled display followed by a couple of couple of loud ticks and... that's all she wrote. Dead flyback transformer.
