Proposed Usenet newsgroup about the Raspberry Pi
I have submitted a formal proposal for a new Usenet newsgroup focussed
on the Raspberry Pi (for info on which see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi).
The decision as to whether the group gets created or not depends
largely on interest. If you would like to see the group set up (or
even if you don't want it to be set up!) you might want to add a
comment to the proposal.
For the proposal see
https://groups.google.com/group/news.groups.proposals/browse_frm/thread/65db53c18168e557
or see newsgroup
news.groups.proposals
under the topic
RFD: comp.sys.raspberry-pi
If you would use the new group please add a comment to say whether you
would expect only to read the group or also to post to it. Only a word
or two are needed. As a guide, some comments are there already.
Apart from whether the group should be created or not various aspects
of the proposal can be discussed. Feel free to join in the discussion
if you wish to do so.
Bear in mind that news.groups.proposals is moderated so your posts may
take a few hours to appear.
There are links in the proposal to the Big 8 Management Board
processes and further background info.
