There are some differences mentioned between it an the 6502, the Ricoh CPU in the NES doesn't have BCD for example. There is a good 65C02 verilog core though: https://github.com/MorrisMA/MAM65C02-Processor-Core
WDC has a licensed 65c816 core available, I think someone mentioned it in the threads for Conrad's new production TWGS cards.
