Hi guys,
So as you can see from my other post I think my new transwarp gs has gone tits up. Rich told me it worked before he sent it, so it must have been damaged either in transit or somehow by me. I have never broken any hardware before so my money is on some sort of static dischage in transit. I have a few questions regarding repairs. First off is there anyone who does repairs to transwap gs cards? Second of all, if no one repairs them I might give it a shot myself but first I have one crutial question. I could order every single generic logic chip and new gals and change everything out with a rework station, but the fpga is the problem. Is the fpga programmed from ROM every powerup as I know is often typical for an FPGA or does it have internal memory storing its program? If the latter is true then does anyone have the JEDEC file for the FPGA? Please help me I feel right now as if I've wasted 350 bucks on a useless card. :(
