Hi
Sorry to hear it's not working for you. It may help to delete the
preferences and bookmarks files - as others have suggested. I probably
shouldn't have included them in the download. I'm a bit rusty on things.
Syndicomm didn't ever sell Arachnid - I believe they offered to send it out
on a disk for a small charge. It has always been free. It's really a
pre-beta look at what I was doing up to about 5 years ago, when I had to
stop my GS activities to accomplish a major life change that involved moving
4000kms. I thought I'd have to drop out of the Apple II world for six months
or so, but it ended up being 5 years. I've recently been able to unpack my
Apple II stuff. Sadly none of my GS motherboards were still functional, but
I have managed to overcome that problem. I'm still trying to track down a
cable for my ZipGSX, and I'm now using an LCD TV with a scan converter for a
monitor, but other than that I'm up and running again.
My current project is to finish another program I was working on just before
the move, an ftp new desk accessory. I've been able to make some decent
progress on it in recent weeks. There are some screenshots here:

I am somewhat unsure what to do with Arachnid at this point. I may revisit
it, if I can think of a way to make it actually useful. It could be more
productive for me to update TelnetNDA to support VT100, Color and SSH, and
use that to run Lynx, for example.
Thanks for trying my software. It's nice to know there are a few people
around who are still interested.
