If it is any guide, on an Amiga you really need a 68060 at 50MHz
to play a 44.1kHz 128kbps stereo MP3 without getting gaps in
the sound as it is being played back.

I would imagine that even the highest spec GS machines
(12MHz Transwarps ?) wouldn't be able to decode the MP3
stream in real time.
