Put it back in the box. I am serious. If you have no intention of using
the IIc Plus, put it back in the box and wait another 10 years. The IIc
Plus is one of the rarest of the Apple II models. Right now, it might be
worth $100. The other reader said they were worth $5 a piece but that
is more true for a regular Apple IIc that has been used.
The difference?
The IIc Plus supports the Apple 3.5" drive used on the Mac and IIGS
The IIc Plus operates at 4x the speed of the IIc.
The IIc Plus has an unfinished AppleTalk support (collectable)
The IIc Plus has min-DIN serial ports like the Mac and IIGS
The IIc Plus was the fastest 8-bit Apple II produced.
So *NO* it is definitely not a $5 computer. These things are RARE
even today. Wait another 10 years and they will even be rarer and at
THAT time, it may truly be in the collectable range.
Preserve the IIc Plus for posterity! ;-)
