The old monitor is still working. It happens like this: I saw the red led in the motherboard on after I switched on, but it turns off very soon and the power supply began to have a 'click, click, click....' sound. It seems there is some burnt smell from the power supply, but I switched it off immediately, afraid there could be an explosion.
