I see what you're saying. This is how it was configured when I had my
problem.
The problem is that the SDK file and the target drive are both S5,D1.
Everything goes fine until the first bit of image data is supposed to be
written to the target disk. At that very instant, the error "Data Error $81"
comes up, regardless of the image used or disk used as the target.
Copy ][+ had no problems doing a "disk w/format" backup of a piece of
software I just purchased, even though I had to swap the disk MANY more times
than I ever had to do making single-drive disk copies on my //c back in 86-89.
I just assumed that I could get 8-bit ShrinkIt to cooperate in the same
manner.
I've just found another ShrinkIt 5.25 disk image, so I guess I'll give it a
try.

Wow! Thanks for reminding me about ram disks! :) I have actually been
watching a few IIgs memory cards on eBay. Might pick one up. I've just been
reluctant up til now cuz I wasn't sure how it would benefit me immediately.
Y'know, a day after I bought my 3.5" drive, I thought "I shoulda got two."
Glad I ordered it, but cuz of the weekend, it won't be here till next week.

This still applies. :)
