Thanks for the reply David. I did find out some new info in my adventures. I
bought the computer off e-bay a while back and it came with GS/OS 6.0 I did
not know whether this was the same as 6.01 or not, being unfamiliar with
Apple's revisions and designations.
What I did find out was that once I got access to the new data (copied via
Linux), I was able to create some 6.01 disks and than did a re-install of
the O/S. Once I did this I found, much to my surprise, that the CD-SC would
now read the burned disks. So Apple must have done some revisions in this
area in the 6.01 update.
In short, the issue was not the CD-SC or the way I was burning the CD's, but
rather the difference between GS/OS 6.0 & 6.01.
It sucks to be me!
