The only use a ram card will be for BeagleWrite is to load the software
into to speed it up (helps dramatically with the spell checker). I
ditched MultiScribe (as it was known back then) and went with AppleWorks
+ Timeout Super Fonts as my primary word processor. I'd recommend this
to anyone who likes to use IIe's/IIc's, it's a great setup when you've got
plenty of RAM or a decent secondary storage device.

If you've got your heart set on a graphical user interface, you might try
hunting down one of the other wordpro's that had a Mac like interface. One
that springs to mind is IIwrite, which may or may not have expanded memory
support. Another option would be to use one of the DTP programs like
Publish It! but to be honest, unless you have a 1mb machine with an
accelerator on board, I wouldn't bother with that.

I'm sure there are other GUI programs around, it's just that BeagleWrite
was probably the best known one.

Cheers,

Matt
