Re: Building An Apple ][ Software Archive
Well, I have alot of public domain disks (mostly dos 3.3) that I could make
sdk's (or disk shrinkits) that will open up to 5.25" disks and upload them
somewhere. Like I told you privately, they are not much fun.
But yes, they are how I started. For a true newby they could be interesting.
I think you need an older version of the Dos 3.3 boot disk so you can load
integer basic (you get the ">" prompt). Some of these programs are integer
basic.
So many people (me included) are so spoiled by prodos. I remember hearing
people at the user group saying they would never use anything again that was
not prodos back in the late 80's. Now I mostly resemble that myself. But in
the late 80's I was still running on an unenhanced //e with two 5.25" disks.
So Dos 3.3 was great for me.
