Re: Partitioning & formatting a SCSI



The SCSI drive I have has no partitions on it at all. When PRODOS looks at
the drive, it sees a 32664KB disk in S7,D1. Filer then attempts to format
that space. Since this writes crud into the space that the Smartdrive code
expects find the partition table, the drive becomes invisible and unusable.
Even the SCSI diagnostics disk that came with the card crashes after Filer
tries to format the unpartitioned drive.
