HI,

     I don't know if this was in reply to me or someone else, but I can
tell you that my ISP does not have shell access (and thus no Pine).  Users
sign up (for dial up service anyway) by getting a free CD like AOL.  The
CD also comes with Netscape.

     My reason for using Pine "offline" on my PC is that I can actually
use the keyboard and not the mouse.  And with my ISP (finally) going to
IMAP, I don't have to download email to my local system.  I just read it
off the server.  :)
