To get on an iDisk with 8.6, you just need to update Appleshare to at
least 3.8.6...it's available as an update from Apple.  There was also
a way to create an iTools account with an earlier system (I did with
MacOS 8.1 on a Quadra 650), but I think Apple changed their method and
timing of checking for what system you are using so the old method
doesn't work.  Also, there is a patch out that will patch iTools so
that it will run under at least MacOS 8.6.  This one I know works
good, as I'm running 8.6 and can log on to iTools with no problems.

dig it out again.
