Err, they even made them at Cork in the Republic of Ireland. In the UK
at least, Apple seemed to discourage purchasers from the GS and I'd
never even seen one until I found one for sale three years ago...

Perhaps other readers could suggest a better European holiday
destination for trying to pick one up second hand.
