Hi Tanya,
you'll need to get a boot disk. See if they'll give you one where you got
the computer, and maybe some application disks too. You can also mail order
disks, if that doesn't work. If you can get a hold of an Apple II with a
3.5" disk, like a IIgs or IIc+, or IIc with Unidisk you can download disk
images and other software from the archive sites onto a Mac and transfer it
to an Apple II via 3.5" floppy.

It will have lots of info on getting started and sources of boot disks.
