Do you have System 6.0.1 on your IIGS? If so, you do not need
Apple File Exchange on the Mac. The IIGS can read, write, and
format your 800k Mac HFS disks right from the IIGS Finder.
How easy is it? Simply use the Install disk to install the HFS
FST (file system translator) option to your System disk. Then
boot the IIGS. Any 800k Mac HFS disk you now put into your
IIGS floppy drive will show up in the Finder. You would then
treat it just as you would a ProDOS disk except that you would
be able to use HFS naming conventions and if you were on a
hard drive you would not be limited to 32MB.
This is A LOT nicer than AFE on the Mac SE.
